Terms of Service
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms are between you and Adventures With Words, a UK business, which provides findbook.co. By ticking the box when you sign up, or by using findbook.co, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not sign up. Questions? Email hello@findbook.co.
What findbook.co is
findbook.co lets authors, publishers and the people who work with them make short book links, shop pages, Bio Pages, Event Pages, QR codes and tracked links, and see anonymous totals of how they are used. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we keep.
Your account
- We approve accounts by hand, and may decline or close an account if we are not comfortable with it.
- Give us true details and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens through your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got into it.
- One account is for one person. Please do not share a login.
What you make
- You own what you put on findbook.co (your text, pictures, links and logos). You give us permission to store it and show it as part of the service.
- You are responsible for it. You must have the right to use everything you add, such as cover images and photos.
- Links you make must go where they say they go. Please do not send people somewhere other than the book or event you describe.
Fair use and what is not allowed
Clicks, page views and scans are unlimited on every plan, as long as use stays fair. That means normal book promotion. If your use is far beyond that, for example it puts real strain on the service, we will contact you first and agree what to do.
You must not use findbook.co to:
- break the law, or encourage others to;
- spread malware, scams, phishing, or links meant to trick or harm people;
- pretend to be another person, author, publisher or business;
- publish material that is hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit involving children, or that infringes someone else's copyright or privacy;
- send spam, or send people to a page you do not have the right to promote;
- try to get round a plan limit, break the service's security, collect other people's information, or probe the service for weaknesses without our written permission;
- copy or resell the service.
Reports and removal
Every page made by a client has a Report this page link. If a page is reported, or we think it breaks these terms, we may switch it off, remove it, or suspend the account straight away, and tell you why afterwards. For serious abuse we may do this without warning and may tell the authorities. If we think we got it wrong, email us and we will look again.
Plans and payment
- Free trial. New accounts get a free two week trial with everything switched on. No card or payment is needed until the trial is up. When it ends you move to the free plan.
- Free plan. The free plan costs nothing and has limits: 5 new Retail Links a month, one Bio Page, 1 Event Page with 1 event, 3 QR codes, and some extras switched off. Your Help page lists exactly what is included.
- Full plan. The full plan is £9.99 a month, paid by card through Stripe. It is billed monthly in advance and renews until you cancel. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email of any price change.
- Team plan. The Team plan is £49.99 a month, billed and cancelled in the same way as the full plan, with no free trial. It includes 6 logins: one team admin and up to 5 other people the team admin invites. Everyone on a team can see and change everything the team has made. The team admin looks after billing, invitations and removals, and each person must have their own password and 2FA. If a team's subscription ends, the team admin keeps access on the free plan and the other logins are kept but cannot be used until the Team plan is back. Removing a person deletes their login, and what they made stays with the team.
- Upgrading. When you upgrade you are charged straight away, any trial ends, and the full plan switches on within a minute or two.
- Cancelling or moving to the free plan. You can cancel at any time from Billing, then Manage billing. The full plan stays on until the end of the month you have paid for, then your account moves to the free plan. There is no cancellation fee. Nothing is deleted. Links you made keep working, but you cannot make new ones past the free limits until you are back under them, and only your first Bio Page and first Event Page stay online. Full plan extras such as your own colours, dates and A/B tests stop applying until you upgrade again.
- If a payment fails. Stripe tries your card again over the following days, and we email you. Your full plan stays on while that happens. You can fix it any time from Billing, then Manage billing. If the payment still cannot be taken, your subscription ends and your account moves to the free plan, with nothing deleted. You can upgrade again at any time.
- Refunds. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Please talk to us before asking your bank to reverse a payment, because we can usually sort it out quicker.
Closing your account
You can ask us to close your account at any time. We will delete it and everything you made. We may suspend or close an account if you break these terms or if a payment is not made, and we will tell you why. Accounting records are kept as the law requires.
How reliable the service is
We work hard to keep findbook.co running and your links working, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error free. Shop links can also go wrong because of things outside our control, such as a shop moving a page. We check some links automatically, but you should check your own links before an important campaign.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for losses that were a foreseeable result of us not taking reasonable care. We are not responsible for lost sales, profit or goodwill, or for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, and our total responsibility to you for anything connected with the service in any twelve months is limited to what you paid us in that time. Nothing in these terms limits anything the law does not allow us to limit, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email account holders at least 30 days before it starts. If you do not agree, you can close your account before then. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there can deal with any dispute, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also use your local courts.
